Hunks & diffs
Changes render as inline hunks with syntax highlighting, with a full-file Monaco view a click away and external diff tools when you want them.
Inline hunks
Each changed file shows its hunks inline, with line numbers and Shiki syntax highlighting so the diff reads like code, not a wall of plus and minus signs.
function upload(file) {
- return fetch(url, opts);
+ return retry(() => fetch(url, opts), {
+ attempts: 5,
+ backoff: 'exp',
+ });
}
Full-file diff in Monaco
When a hunk isn’t enough context, open the full file in a Monaco diff editor — the same engine VS Code uses — rendered side-by-side so you can see the change against the whole file.
External diff tools
Prefer your own diff tool? Nexus can hand off to an external program. Configure the command with placeholders for the two sides of the diff:
meld {original} {modified}
Nexus substitutes {original} and {modified} with the file paths before launching the tool.
The placeholder names are literal: use {original} for the base version and {modified} for the agent’s version. They’re substituted verbatim into your configured command.
